About me
Mirjam Radke
Globetrotter, & (hobby)photographer

Hello!
I'm Mirjam Radke – a passionate globetrotter and (hobby) photographer, born in 1984.
I grew up in the "Liebliches Taubertal" in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Since 2008, I've been proud to call Munich my new home. Since 2015, I've been traveling regularly – mostly alone – with my OM SYSTEM (formerly Olympus) cameras. Currently, my two OM-D E-M5 accompany me both above and below the water's surface. Underwater, I also use my Olympus TG-Tracker.
I don't go on vacation – I travel.
For me, traveling means adventure. It's about discovering a new city, region, or country – along with all the people, animals, stories, and impressions that come with it.
A "vacation," on the other hand, means lying on the beach or by the pool and doing nothing. That's fine once in a while – relaxing is important, after all – but it's not my lifestyle.
I love to travel independently and alone. That way, I can be flexible, spontaneous, and stop wherever I like.
Sometimes, though, I do travel with a partner – some situations are simply easier to handle with two people.
And how does all of this work?
Rumor has it that I'm always on the road and never at home in Munich or at the office – but that's not true.
It all comes down to organization and planning. With smart use of public holidays, weekends, and bridge days, you can turn a few vacation days into a surprising number of travel days.
Traveling doesn't have to be expensive, either:
I often stay in hostels, homestays, or budget accommodations, book early, and plan carefully.
Some of my trips are financed through photo contests or paid photography assignments – and, of course, through a lot of passion and dedication. 😊
With every trip, my photo collection grows – and along with it, so do my experiences, adventures, and memories.
